Years back, a unplanned road trip took me to a village in Tamilnadu. It was between Krishnagiri and Salem. I decided to spend a few hours there, and trust me I never felt lonely, bored or a stranger in the place.
In the market square there were grand life size statues of politicians, poets and sages. Every cutout and every hoarding had a celebrity or a herd of them.
I walked across the market, these all people from the hoardings statues and curt outs looked down upon me. They waved me, they looked at me and they showed me poses and stunts.
I sipped a nice cup of tea as Katrina kept smiling at me. On the opposite Egg shop, Amma was all smiles. A wet girl on the shoe shop stared seductively as rest of the celebrities vied for my attention.
